Lebanon, PA – BSW (Berleburger Schaumstoffwerk GmbH), parent company of Regupol America LLC, recycled rubber manufacturer, installed the new world class performance surface, Regupol Track, in the Berlin Olympic Stadium. On August 15, 2009, more than 2,500 of the world‘s most accomplished athletes, from over 200 countries, gathered at the stadium to participate in the World Athletics Championships, hosted by the International Association of Athletics Federation (IAAF).

All stadium competitions took place on a high performance track composed of BSW’s Regupol sports surfacing material. Jamaican world record holder, Usain Bolt, won the 100-meter race in 9.58 seconds and 200-meter race in just 19.19 seconds on this track. “We’re honored that Regupol is installed in the Berlin Olympic Stadium, and knowing that Usain Bolt established a world record in the 100-meter and 200-meter sprint distance on this track is even more spectacular. Once again, quality surfaces make world class athletics better and faster!” said John Aten, Vice President of Sales.

The BSW Regupol athletic track at the Olympic Stadium has obtained the Class I Athletic Facility Certificate by the IAAF, meeting all technical requirements for the relevant competitions.
